New Music: KÅRP – Zero Heartbeat

Sweden’s KÅRP show themselves to be masters of the Scandi sad banger of new track Zero Heartbeat. As earnest and honest as the vocals and lyrics are, it’ll be impossible not to dance to this.

But maybe you’ll do that with a tear in your eye and memories of a childhood now gone, as the song detail how beautiful things can bring out our most primal urges.

Says the band about Zero Heartbeat, a song that will find readymade fans in lovers of Fever Ray, Aurora, and Last Night on Earth; “For three years now we’ve been working on the apocalypse themed trilogy which finally ends with this EP. Along the way we’ve had to kill so many darlings it feels like cemetery would’ve been a more suitable theme.”

“Zero Heartbeat might strike you as a deviation from our grand apocalypse project, but it was conceived through staring in the eyes of potential failure. Welcome to the life of making Death Disco.”

The track is out now and will feature on Gothenburg-based KÅRP’s upcoming EP. It’s also streaming on Apple Music and YouTube Music. Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram are the places to go for updates from this intriguing electronic project.
