New Music: Leoblu – PEACHES

On PEACHES, Berlin-based Finnish musician Leoblu provides a positive counterpoint to some of the prominent, darkly contemplative, themes of her recent Blu Lucid Nightmare EP.  

A brooding electronic ballad with more than a hint of melancholy about it, PEACHES in fact looks at some of the benefits of love and relationships. Not those grand sweeping gestures of the movies, but the seemingly small events and ways love is shown and received almost daily, and fears are diminished by the mere presence of a loved one. This is happy-sad pop at its finest.

“PEACHES is inspired by reflection, hope, and realising growth,” says Julia Carlsson, AKA Leoblu. “For me, this song became such a playful process where I never knew where the lyrics, the melodies, or the instrumentation was going.”
