New Music: The Ultimate Dreamers – Into The Fog

On Into The Fog, Brussels-based The Ultimate Dreamers lean into the more guitar-laden side of their post-punk/EBM sound to thrilling effect.

Featuring vocals from Simona Ferrucci of Winter Severity Index, the track is a doomily romantic affair, full of heartache and passion, brought to the listener via swirling guitars and suitably dramatic synths.

You can hear something of Clan of Xymox and Xmal Deutschland in its rumbling intensity and twilight tones, but the lightness of love also has a strong presence, even the flaws of romance also make their presence felt.

Into The Fog features on the band’s new album, Paradoxical Sleep, which is out now via Spleen+ and can be downloaded on Bandcamp, and heard on Spotify and Apple Music.

The band has a series of live dates in France, Germany, Belgium, and the UK in the coming months. For news on those, be sure to hit up The Ultimate Dreamers on their Facebook and Instagram socials. Hopefully, we can get to see the band in Leeds later this year!
