About the tracks
Be Kind Cadaver was built around the idea of trying to incorporate a wealth of potentially incongruous influences. Whilst we have a shared love of noise-rock and its associated genres, there is a conscious desire to engage with pop music, drone, modern folk, as well as the new wave of electronic music coming out of Iran, central Africa, and other such ‘non-western’ hubs of breathtaking creativity. Given a long-standing inability to tell if the music I love is courageously obscure or hogtied to the zeitgeist, there is no real attempt to select or avoid more or less famous artists: merely those that have, in ways big and small, contributed to the BKC ‘sound’, such as it is.
