New Music: Ailbhe Reddy – Align
Dublin-born singer-songwriter Ailbhe Reddy gears up for a 2026 album and a series of high-profile live dates with windswept ballad, Align.
Though Reddy spends her time between London and New York, the influences on Align seem to originate from other climes, as folk and Nordic pop play a vital part. It indicates that the artist is well on the way to matching her two previous albums, Personal History and Endless Affair.
Deftly mixing in Americana, warm-toned electronica, and indie/folk (but not indie-folk) colourings to emphasise the lyrics, Align puts me in mind of Sally Dige, Susanne Sundfør, and Highasakite. Reddy experiments with sound and style, but does so in the framework of creating music that’ll connect with the listener on a personal level.

Reddy shares about Align, “It’s about reaching the point where you can genuinely wish someone well, even if it still stings. Accepting that from here on out, you’ll only watch their life from afar and that, somehow, time might soften the hard feelings.”
Reddy is set to release her third album in early 2026 via Don Giovanni Records. Align is streaming on Spotify, YouTube Music, and SoundCloud. For album news and details of a Dublin gig this month and an appearance at The Lexington in London next April, head to Instagram or Facebook.
