New Music: Silver Liz – Through The Trees

The second single from wife-and-husband duo Silver Liz’s III album, Through The Trees, presents a different aspect of their sound.

More overtly electronic than previous single Dream More Vivid, the dream pop colourings are less prominent, though the vocals of Carrie Wagner take their place. Coincidences happen in music, but the ones it shares with Lux by Rosalía are uncanny.

While coming from a very American perspective, Through The Trees has varying degrees of traditional, classical music, early church music, and dark pop running through its veins. It makes the track an outlier in so many ways but also a thing of strange beauty.
