New Music: Silent Child – Get Well Soon

Voices In The Dark, the new EP from LA-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Silent Child, tells a story, rather like the artwork for the EP itself.

The story of Voices In The Dark meets its dénouement in the release and healing of its final track, Get Well Soon, as Silent Child comes to terms with his flaws and strengths and acknowledges those around him that have helped him get where he is now.

Even with its sudden bursts of raw and rousing post-punk and occasional reflections on difficult moments in the protagonist’s life, the song is a positive one. While others can guide us on our way, or help us meet our goals, the answer to becoming whole lies within – and then maybe we can also help others.

“Get Well Soon talks about insecurity and healing,” states the artist. “Urging understanding that everyone is going through something and no one is alone. However, the only thing truly holding you back from greatness is yourself.”
