New Music: Beachdust – F A C E L E S S
The hazy, sunny moments of falling for someone are reflected on in a dreamlike fashion on F A C E L E S S.
Featured on Dancing On A Raincloud, the latest album from Beachdust, a project fronted by Anthony Geovanny Santos, the song takes a post-punk influenced rhythm section, tight and pacy, as its foundation point. It overlays that with synths and guitar lines that remind me of the early days of The Cure but gently warmed under the California sun in a style that fans of Drab Majesty, Traitrs, and Artemas will particularly enjoy.
Beachdust have described themselves as “the documentation of a never-ending quest towards states of ultrasonic bliss,” and I think they have cracked that here.
States Santos about the track, “[I’ve] waited a long time for this one to be released. The band has been playing it live for a few years now, and it has become a really special song to me.”
“I feel like I really captured a particular vibe that shines through the melodies and lyrics on this track. A nostalgic, melancholy, emotional yet hopeful tune that keeps on giving.”

Dancing On A Raincloud was released on the 1st of January and can be streamed on Spotify and downloaded on Bandcamp. Check out Beachdust on their Instagram profile for more listening options and all the latest band news.
