Versions is Aberdeen’s Moody Moody at their most meditative and moving, spiritual companions of Frightened Rabbit.

Post-punk plays a greater role in the music of Moody Moody, with a Britrock twist that pushed the song into indie territory but without the bombast, building on the 2025 EP, Otherlands.

That Frightened Rabbit comparison comes into play again in the lyrics, the song’s narrator sifting thoughts and feelings as they work their way through relationships and social situations, like an alien internal monologue. You’re left with a feeling of sadness, but also a desire to know what happened after the story in the song has ended.
