New Music: Bliss Abyss – wrecked

San Francisco Bay Area trio Bliss Abyss step up the excitement for their self-titled album by sharing a third featured track, wrecked.

It finds itself on similar ground to previous singles red disgusting and star, by tapping into the brooding tones of shoegaze, delivering them via a buzzsaw energy similar in its essence and energy to pop-punk.

With those light pop-punk touches, wrecked allows the band to deliver the hard, emotionally resonant lyrics in a fresh and melodic style. The ‘You’re still wrecked’ refrain pushes the message of the lyrics upfront and personal, sensitively negotiating its way around what could have been some difficult subject matter.
