New Music: talker – Truck

A figurative and literal journey, Truck finds talker looking at how no matter how far we travel, we can end up back where we started.

Another insight into the Los Angeles based artist’s upcoming Runaway Jane album, it connects with February’s Gold Rush by layering a personal story over a warm with spare alt rock arrangement. Joined by long-time collaborator Matt Bernstein on writing duties, talker (Celeste Tauchar) takes the listener on the road, emotions laid bare, with an understated delivery giving the lyrics an incredibly powerful impact.

“This song is about the patterns that we sometimes unknowingly fall into, the ones that you don’t notice until you’re right back in the same place – just maybe with someone else, or in a different season,” explains talker. “It takes place in a truck, but it could have been anywhere else that I’ve already been.”
