New Music: Alisa Xayalith – I’ll Be There

I’ll Be There is the latest single from Alisa Xayalith, widely known for her work as a member of the electronic duo The Naked and Famous. The song will feature on her Superpowers EP. Check out the beach day vibes of the video below.

The song utilises a very different sonic palette to The Naked and Famous. That outfit’s outgoing electronic themes are replaced subtle yet sparkling tones, as the song leans strongly into a lush, laidback indie sound.

Xayalith’s vocals are the star of the show however, as she navigates a difficult subject matter in a thoughtful, confident style. If you like Beach House and Still Corners, the warmth and sincerity of I’ll Be There will appeal to you.

Xayalith describes I’ll Be There as “a candid ode to friendship… a story of bringing a friend back to the surface after a difficult breakup in a long-term relationship.”
