Bleu Grave find common and comforting ground between shoegaze and post-punk on From The Grave.

The Californian band, now signed to Cleopatra Records, acknowledges a debt to The Cure and Joy Division within the DNA of the track while finding a substantial role for shoegaze in the guitars and production.

It allows the track a fuller array of textures within the arrangement, eschewing the darkness of post-punk and the escapism of shoegaze. It frees From The Grave to be both anthemic and contemplative, perfect for the communal setting of a gig, also those moments where you are in self-imposed solitude, alone with only your thoughts for company.
