New Music: Blue Tomorrows – Owl Creek Blues

The arcane electronica meets folk of Owl Creek Blues is the first single from the upcoming Weather Forever LP from Blue Tomorrows.

Blue Tomorrows is the solo project of Sarah Nienaber of Shady Cove, and Owl Creek Blues is like a trip back in time, one where a musician uses instruments and electronics of that time to visualise future sounds.

As Nienaber’s vocals fracture with emotion, and the piano gives way to a distinctive, hymnlike take on indie and Americana, you’ll often not be quite sure what you’re meant to experience emotionally as you listen to Owl Creek Blues – and maybe that’s a good thing?
