New Music: Club 8 – Another Faux Pas In The Cathedral Of Hate

Published On: November 17th, 2025|

With a title that sounds like a new Wes Anderson movie, Swedish duo Club 8 drop their November single and news of a new album, Seasonal Echoes.

Another Faux Pas In The Cathedral Of Hate is short and bittersweet, clocking in at well under two minutes, and I’d have liked it to hang around a lot longer.

Karolina Komstedt’s vocals come across as waif-like and whispered, and the minimal arrangement – apart from Spanish-style flourishes – seems to herald the oncoming winter. I’m uncertain whether the track is meant to leave me feeling positive or pessimistic, as both sensations are present at different times. How can something so brief leave you with so many questions?

Seasonal Echoes is set for a limited-edition vinyl release this December – you can pre-order it right here. All of the 2025 singles from Club 8 are streaming on Bandcamp – which is also the best place to keep up with Club 8 – and Spotify.
