New Music: dylan bailey – Pomegranate (i like you)

The lightly flowing indie pop of Pomegranate (i like you) is a beautifully lovestruck way to discover dylan bailey’s new album.

It can easily hold its own against midnight pulse, the breakout track from her 2023 album, misty. What’s more, Pomegranate (i like you) could easily be its flipside. It’s the day to the neon night of midnight pulse, the sun to its blue moon, and the bright summer love to its icy agony of cold nights alone.

The strongest declaration of ardour in the lyrics may be the coyness of the repeated ‘I like you’ refrain, but there are enough hints of happiness and love found in everyday things to let you know what’s going on in the overflowing heart of the song’s central character.

Sunday Night and misty can be streamed on Spotify and Apple Music. Get all the latest artist news and more streaming options for her music by following Los Angeles based bailey on Instagram or TikTok.
