New Music: amilost – I Know Better

Norwegian-Scottish duo amilost sound better, harder, and fiercer than ever on their latest single, I Know Better.

Vocalist Sigrid goes beyond pop here, as if Marina or Florence were raging against the idiocy and inadequacy of others to a pulsating and relentless electro rock soundtrack. I Know Better, which lights the way for the duo’s next EP, How Scary Am I?, would actually fit well within the European dark scene, passionate and dramatic, plus fun to dance to.

It’s akin to a Victorian Gothic story of a woman fighting back and obtaining the best revenge of all – independence and her own voice, unrestrained by the expectations of men and society. You don’t need to be a woman to claim your territory on the dance floor or life to I Know Better, but don’t mess with any woman who does! As amilost proclaim, “Sick of being told who to be? So are we!”

How Scary Am I? is scheduled for release via Icons Creating Evil Art in March 2027.
