New Music: Cub Sport – Songs About It

Cub Sport continue their exploration of the euphoria of love in all its guises on new single Songs About It – a song about songs about love but also the joys of losing yourself in the moment.

It’s couched in a layer of early piano house and classic rave trappings, aimed squarely at the dance floor, full of the joys of being alive and in love with the moment and with someone close.

The track features on Jesus At The Gay Bar, the fifth album from Cub Sport. Vocalist Tim Nelson describes the album as  “an ode to celebrating one’s past, not just outrunning it, and looking boldly into the future, without the fear of past demons resurfacing.“

He continues, “There’s a lot from my life before I came out that has always been shrouded in shame, fear and secrecy. But it doesn’t have to be a secret anymore, and I feel like I can really shine a light on the magic of it and recognise and celebrate it for what it was and is.”
