New Music: Juan Donovan – Chains ft. Danni Jackson

Chains is a real transatlantic affair, with the Baltimore producer and musician Juan Donovan teaming up with London singer/songwriter Danni Jackson on a track that shows distance is no barrier when the talent is there to overcome it.

As the track opens, a guitar shimmers over a tender RNB rhythm which has been infused with a chilled indie-electro sensibility. Cool and smooth yet refreshing, like a summer cocktail, it provides a suitably cultured backdrop for Danni Jackson’s vocals.

She has a voice that is rich and expressive, taking the track in to the realms of the urbane as she sings of love lost and independence regained.

Chains is out now and can be streamed Spotify as well as all major digital outlets.
