New Music: Stars and Rabbit – Little Mischievous

Published On: January 27th, 2020|

Stars and Rabbit formed in 2011 and gained international acclaim with Man Upon The Hill from the Constellation LP back in 2017. 2020 sees them prepare for the release of their Rainbow Aisle album by dropping the sublime Little Mischievous. Check out the video below.

There’s a joy and innocence at the heart of Little Mischievous that is delightful and infectious, in large part down to the fun, rollercoaster vocals of Elda Suryani. Sounding like a cross between Nina Persson and Björk, her livewire performance is the perfect foil for Didit Saad’s equally electric lead guitar melody and the briskly bouncing arrangement. The track mines classic indie of the 80s and 90s for inspiration, but it has a very fresh pop feel that is bound to bring a smile to your face.
