New Music: The Parade – I’m a Dreamer
I’m a Dreamer is the impressive debut single from recent Dumont Dumont signings The Parade. The Swedish trio seek inspiration in the refined indie and electronic chart sounds of the 90s, something they succeed in doing with considerable flair.
The wistful hook and vocal driven music of Saint Etienne, The Sundays, and Lush can be heard, but with a Nordic pop twist that gives the song an irresistible happy-sad quality. Can’t wait to hear what the band does next!
“I’m a Dreamer serves as an homage to a time when music magazines were treasured possessions and record shops were cherished sanctuaries for teenage dreamers,” says the band. “
We wanted something that seamlessly blends catchy hooks, lush arrangements, and heartfelt lyrics. The song will hopefully transport listeners to a world of youthful optimism and boundless dreams, inviting them to embrace their own aspirations and celebrate the joy of music discovery.”
