Kisu Min – Uncanny Valley

Esoterica and deadly realism come together on Uncanny Valley, the new single from Polish quartet Kisu Min.

An early insight into their upcoming album, Rudolf Steiner House, the band describes Uncanny Valley as “dynamic, dark and, in a sense, talks about the fucked-up times we live in.”

It’s not a negative piece of music, as evidenced by their light and pacy take on post-punk and modern New Wave. Calming in its own way, it chimes and shimmers through philosophical constructs, bringing the listener along with them as equals.

Adds the Łódź-based band, “The music video was inspired by John Carpenter’s film They Live. It is our tribute to this wonderful production. We used individual frames from the film… We would like to thank the filmmakers for this opportunity.”

The Austrian philosopher and social reformer, who pioneered Waldorf pedagogy, serves as the inspiration for Rudolf Steiner House. “We feel that Waldorf pedagogy, and the wisdom obtained from it in terms of educating future generations, is a guarantee for the preservation of our humanity in these extremely uncertain times,” states the band.
