New Music: Wuzy Bambussy – Flux (feat. Kat Harrison)

Wuzy Bambussy is the alter ego of producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Nikolai Jones. Flux sees him team up once again with vocalist Kat Harrison in the wake of their recent collaboration on 2 Miles High.

Flux has a flavour of the Bristol sound made famous by the likes of Tricky and Portishead to it. Strings and a retro approach to the arrangement give the song a timeless, polished quality. Countering that, the frenetic percussion, nods to chamber pop, and the yearning, thoughtful presence of Harrison’s vocals edge the song away from trip-hop into something lighter and more rock-oriented.
