New Music: Marie Reiter – Burn

Marie Reiter is a Belgian singer-songwriter now based in Berlin, and was previously a member of The Poem Is You. Burn is a track from her upcoming album Nazareth. Wrap your ears around this.

Burn is a real slow burner (sorry) evoking a Phil Spector-esque, doomy 60’s girl group pop sound as viewed through a prism of darkwave and  experimental pop.

Lyrically Reiter seems to come from a similar place to Serge Gainsbourg or Leonard Cohen.  Along with the tracks Yesterday and Limbo which are also featured on her Soundcloud, her upcoming album promises to be an early highlight of 2017.
