New Music: Secret Treehouse – Sinking

With their new album just released, Norway’s Secret Treehouse have dropped a prime cut from The Big Rewind as a single. Sinking is a great track on a great album, so give it a spin and see what you think.

Taking a slower, more steady approach to reeling the listener in than previous singles when compared to the instant pop of Fear Of Frogs, it nevertheless hits the spot musically, and certainly emotionally. Aimed more at the head and heart than the dancefloor, it goes felt pelt with stirring guitar chords, anguished lyrics (about drowning in someone else’s strong emotions and feelings) add a sense of quiet drama to the vocals. This has ‘live favourite’ written all over it and is a standout track from a flawless album.

Secret Treehouse’s Sinking is out now, and their album The Big Rewind is also available on Apple Music.  To catch up with the band, as well as getting news on upcoming live dates, as well as other streaming and downloading options, check out their Instagram, Twitter and Facebook pages.
