New Music: The Toxic Avenger x Look Mum No Computer – Lies

Published On: October 10th, 2020|

Lies is very much an Anglo-French musical affair, as French producer The Toxic Avenger teams up with the UK’s Look Mum No Computer (Sam Battle) on this delicious take on electronica. You can watch the Kitsuney-directed video for the song below.

Battle’s vocals add to a gritty, punky, but very human British flavour to the song, helping Lies put a very different spin on indie-electro. Broad swathes of synths and a pounding bass ramp up the vitality of the anthemic, highly emotive arrangement and vocal melody, leaving the listener caught up in a slightly unsettling dream state.

Lies is from the Midnight Resistance album, which is out now. It’s available to stream or download on all major platforms, including Spotify – click here for more info. The album is also available in double vinyl format on Bandcamp. Be sure to head on over to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, to find out more about The Toxic Avenger and their music.
