New Music: Lily Juniper – All Mine

All Mine may only be the second solo single from British vocal electronic artist Lily Juniper, but it has to be said that it’s an incredibly accomplished and confident release.

Drawing from the pop end of DNB and the leftfield edges of Scandinavian pop, the light yet driving sound on display here is both gentle and energetic. It does have something of the ‘sad banger’ aesthetic about it, but All Mine is positive and uplifting in tone, even as it follows a very chilled groove. Fans of Sylvan Esso, Maribou State, and the more electronic moments of sjowgren will fall hard for All Mine.

Says Lily Juniper about the track, “It’s a song about new love and the nervous energy that it brings, about seeing someone you like at a party and then going home alone, about overthinking everything you say and do, reading into every word and look. All of the best (and worst) moments that humans can experience.”
