New Music: Little Warrior – Miss Me

Miss Me is an appetising taster for Los Angeles based Little Warrior’s sophomore album The Return, which is set for release next month.

In keeping with the underlying theme of the song – taking control – Little Warrior did everything from songwriting to mixing and production on Miss Me. Maybe that plays a large part in the chilled, confident indie meets downtempo electronica ambience that gives the intimate vocal performance and personal lyrics such power and presence.

“[Miss Me] signifies a major shift from a lot of my previous heartache/heartbreak tracks…” says the artist. “This is an anthem for all of those who have walked away from situations where you continually shrank until you realized you had to walk away in order to not lose yourself… and then those people or situations realize how big of a void your absence truly is – how much of an echo and resonances your voice has.”

“If you’re having a hard time remembering who you truly are, think back to how you were as a kid when you still had childlike faith and wonder and before the cruelness of the world contributed to cynicism, distrust, and being guarded.”

The Return comes out on the 6th of August. Miss Me is now streaming on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music. For the latest album news, check out Little Warrior on her Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram socials.
