New Music: Sterile Cuckoo – Yespleaseforever

It’s been six years since we covered Sterile Cuckoo’s Copperfield, but in that time, their sound has lost none of its ability to create awe-inducing soundscapes. Check out Yespleaseforever from their new Eskapismus LP for some vivid proof.

An electronic take on the hazy and unearthly ground where shoegaze and dreampop meet, the track is its own universe of lo-fi colours.

Every moment and sound adds to the song’s blurred wall of noise built of layer upon layer of intensity, each layer in turn wrapping shades of light and dark around each other, a theme that is present repeatedly throughout the album.
