New Music: Pamphlets – Against The Forces of Nature

With a new album and a series of European dates on the way, Pamphlets have dropped the fiery and wiry Against The Forces of Nature.

Brooklyn’s finest never let the pace down on this early taster for their new album, Somewhere in Zacatecas, which promises to be one of the finer post-punk albums of 2026 on this showing. While it clocks in at just over three minutes, it seems to fly by; so intense is the arrangement and spiky the vocals.

Singer/guitarist Jeremy Marquez and bassist Ben Griffin make a mighty noise, focusing squarely on the increasingly uneven distribution of wealth and opportunity that typifies not just the US, but much of the world. A controlled anger simmers, almost at boiling point, but the duo keeps that in check – just about – to deliver the message of the song as directly as possible, manic and melodic.

November sees Pamphlets hit the stage in the UK, Germany, and Belgium in support of the album. Somewhere in Zacatecas is out on the 13th of November via Lost Future and can be pre-ordered in digital format on Bandcamp. Head to the band’s Instagram and TikTok profiles for tour and album news.
