New Music: Blushing – Ours

Blushing, the dreampop/shoegaze quartet featuring two husband and wife duos, recently dropped the digital version of their Possessions album via Kanine Records. Among the highlights of the impressive-sounding album are the heavenly tones of Ours.

Possessions by Blushing

The Austin, Texas outfit – who tour the U.S. in the coming months – encapsulate the sonic heights that can be found in the best of shoegaze and dreampop. The vocals are breathy and abstract, the percussion anchors the song in place, while the guitars seem to operate on an ethereal plane of existence.  The track was produced by Elliott Frazier (Ringo Deathstarr) and mastered by Mark Gardener (Ride), but the genius sonic architecture on display is totally down to the band themselves.

You can catch up with Blushing via their Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter pages, where you can also find details about the band’s upcoming tour. You can stream and download Possessions on Bandcamp.  The vinyl edition of Possessions is due for release on the 18^th of March.

Blushing is Christina Carmona on vocals and bass, Noe Carmona on guitar, Michelle Soto on guitar and vocals, and Jacob Soto on drums.
