New Music: Chernobyl Sunshine Club – Vultures

London’s Chernobyl Sunshine Club describe their sound as ‘cinematic Indie/Alt Folk, inspired by video game soundtracks and film scores’. It’s an eclectic mix, but one that comes off smoothly on new track Vultures. Listen below to find out more.

The arrangement has a similar confidence and some of the swagger that you’d associate with Oasis at the height of their powers. However Vultures is far from being an empty anthem. Rather, it shares a tone with the likes of REM or Soul Asylum, treating the listener as intelligent and wanting some emotional involvement with the smoky vocals, reflective lyrics, and melodic arrangement. The song is rock music designed to soothe the soul.

The band plays The Constitution in Camden on the 27^th of March. You can find out more about Chernobyl Sunshine Club over on Facebook and Instagram. Vultures is out now and available to stream or download on all major platforms including Spotify.
