New Music: Elf Jaw – Tony Pizza

I can’t tell you much about Elf Jaw other than that she’s possibly from Cumbria in the UK and her Nesh EP hits hard.

Taking from some classic bands – Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pale Waves, and The Gossip come to mind – featured track Tony Pizza delivers an insight intothe mind of the track’s protagonist.

Witty and a bit menacing, packed with crunching drums and grungy riffs, the melody is entrancing and the chorus unnervingly memorable. If you have a hankering for 00s indie rock with a modern sheen and lyrical sensibility, this is for you. Nesh can be streamed on Spotify and YouTube Music – head to Elf Jaw’s Instagram for more listening and download alternatives.
