New Music: Kaitee Page – What Day is it Today

Published On: February 25th, 2021|

After fifteen years as a performer, Dallas-based Kaitee Page (previously known as Lunic) stepped away from music to explore the fine arts and abstract painting sides of her creativity. After eight years, she has returned to the musical fray. That’s something to be welcomed, judging by What Day is it Today.

What Day is it Today is immaculately crafted, thoughtful electronica, full of sophistication and style. Though the chorus has an immediate impact on the memory, it doesn’t force its way there. Instead, it uses the smoky, hushed tones to bring out the lyrical message, laid over a brooding arrangement that evokes the rainy-day feelings you’d associate with Ladytron or Dubstar at their most piercing and melancholic.

What Day is it Today by Kaitee Page is out now to download and stream on Bandcamp. You can also listen to the track on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music. Hit up her Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram socials for further listening options.
