New Music: Kytovo – Feel

Feel is the debut release from Mexican electronic outfit Kytovo. It finds them creating a downtempo vibe despite being markedly upbeat.

An early taster for their Rainforest album, Feel taps into a similar sonic soundscape to artists like James Blake and Bonobo but shifts the paradigm somewhat: the rhythms of Aphex Twin and ODESZA come to mind as the track is successful in moving both your feet and your soul. It’ll be interesting to see if they can replicate such a difficult feat throughout the album as a whole.
