New Music: Madil Hardis x Ashbury Heights – Bye Bye To The Heart

Though she has previously worked with the likes of Nature of Wires and an array of other artists, London-based vocalist/composer Madil Hardis releases her debut studio album Natural Darkness on the 6th of October. Bye Bye To The Heart from the album sees her team up once again with Ashbury Heights to great effect.

The song looks to futurepop and 80s synthpop for some of its formative sounds, creating a clean and bass-led ambience throughout the arrangement. Both vocal performances add something dark yet ethereal to the poignant tone the track, however, giving it a human core that feels like it can see into your soul. If you like your electronic pop with something of a gothic flair, the music of Madil Hardis is for you.

Says Hardis of the album, “Looking at Natural Darkness in hindsight, I can see a fractured episode of my life reflected in every note and word. This music has been bleeding out of me and allowed me to overcome and heal in the most beautiful way. I hope people can find hope and shelter and love in these songs.”

Bye Bye To The Heart is also streaming on Apple Music and YouTube Music, and can be downloaded on Madil Hardis’ Bandcamp page. For news on Natural Darkness, which can be pre-saved on Spotify and other platforms, be sure to follow the artist on Facebook or Instagram.
