New Music: Mary Middlefield – Two Thousand One

Based in Lausanne in Switzerland, Mary Middlefield has a keen observational eye and insightful way with words that are very much to the fore on Two Thousand One. A tale of a relationship gone from good to bad to toxic, Middlefield’s folk and Americana infused sound takes an increasingly darker tone as the betrayal of the emotional abuser becomes ever clearer.
