New Music: Moderns – Jarre
Jarre is the latest release from Los Angeles band MODERNS – featuring singer/lyricist Rosie Okumura and production maestro Christopher Fudurich.
Musically, MODERNS is synth-pop built on an organic foundation. The band use vintage analogue synthesizers and drum machines with raw, natural vocals.
The music is electronic but full of emotion, helped along by powerful vocals that are given space and depth and with music that is channelled equally from retro and contemporary sounds.
