New Music: Monsta – Changes

Boaz Bentur is the man behind Monsta, an Israeli electronic act that takes inspiration from the more laid back and abstract end of things. In fact, he cites electronic, ambient, rock and dub as the main influences on his sound, as you can hear on new track Changes.

There’s a gently distorted guitar effect that winds its way through the song, providing the thread that weaves the undulating percussion and minimal synths through the warm inner core and provides splashes of sonic colour. The track does veer off in the occasional dissonant moments, but they serve to reinforce the overall soft and yielding atmosphere on the song.

is out now and features on Nepture, Monsta’s six track EP which is available via Bandcamp.
