New Music: Parallels – Dry Blood (Factory Sessions)

Holly Dodson’s Parallels revisit six gems from their back catalogue on the recently released six-track Factory Sessions EP. A particular favourite is the synthwave/Italo mashup that is Dry Blood.

Dry Blood originally appeared on Parallels’ debut album Visionaries and is given new life here. The urgency of the melody and Moroder-like energy of the synths frame Dodson’s vocals perfectly, the blend of human and electronic coming across as seamless.

Factory Sessions is an audio and visual EP of Parallels’ songs performed live in an old factory space in Los Angeles. The accompanying videos for each of the six featured songs were directed by Brad A. Kinnan. It’s out now on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major digital platforms.
