New Music: Reliant Tom – The Sky Is Falling

With their Play & Rewind soon to be released via Chicago’s Diversion Records, Brooklyn experimental art-rock duo Reliant Tom have given us a stunning taste of what’s to come on the magnificent and moody The Sky Is Falling.

The album, which is now up for pre-order, is sure to be a real gem if this track is anything to go by. It does have a very 90s feel but finds something new and exciting to do with that source material. It’s trip-hop, but with the excitement and energy of grunge and alt.rock running through its veins. Composer Monte Weber and vocalist Claire Cuny have taken the spiky spirit of Seattle and the brooding menace of Bristol and put them together to create something heartbreakingly beautiful, but also very edgy, here.

The Sky Is Falling is out now, and you can get information on how to stream or download the track here. Why not throw the duo a follow over on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter to keep up with news about Reliant Tom and the Play & Rewind album which is out this May?
