New Music: Annie Taylor – Love Is Blind

Annie Taylor isn’t a person, but a band with a lot of attitude and even more raw talent. The Zurich-based quartet toured with Skunk Anansie in 2022, and Love Is Blind makes me wish I’d been at one of those gigs.

No-frills rock n roll with a lot of colour and full of energy; Love Is Blind packs a lot into its two-minute running time. In fact I wanted it to last longer, so set the track to loop!

Amyl and the Sniffers or Hole are immediate reference points, especially in terms of the vocals, but Annie Taylor possess something raw and primal in their sound that sets them apart. An album of this will be like having a sonic shower.

Love Is Blind features on Annie Taylor’s upcoming Inner Smile album and is out now via Taxi Gauche Records. The track can also be streamed on Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube Music.

Head over to the band’s Facebook and Instagram pages for more streaming details plus news on festival appearances throughout this summer.

Annie Taylor comprises Gini Jungi, Tobias Arn, Michael Mutter, and Daniel Bachmann
