New Music: Um, Jennifer? – Glamour Girl
70s Lou Reed meets a lovestruck Bikini Kill on Glamour Girl, the latest single from New York band Um, Jennifer? aka trans duo and friends Elijah Scarpati and Fig Regan. It’s a taster for their upcoming EP titled The Girl Class which is set for release on the 5th of April.
Glamour Girl looks at some of the dangers and desires of being in love, those little details that draw you in even as you can see some warning signs. The charm-filled and punky take on dreampop just adds to the sense of everything being carefree, and maybe a bit careless, and that is ultimately what gives the song such bite.

Discloses the duo about the song, “Glamour Girl is about relationship patterns. It’s about beauty, charm, and how we delude ourselves.” You can find pre-save info for The Girl Class right here. The band holds a launch party at The Sultan Room in New York, also on the 5th of April, with tickets available on Dice.
Glamour Girl is out now via the fabulously-named Final Girl Records and is also streaming on all major digital outlets including Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube Music.
