New Music: DARK – NYCTOPHILIA

Fitting given their name, DARK are shrouded in mystery, with little information available about who is behind the moniker. The Hamburg-based outfit has teamed up with Blood Crush vocalist Nicole Willerton and guitarist by Lestat Filth on their sixth single, NYCTOPHILIA.

NYCTOPHILIA displays its influences freely and proudly in every note and nuance. From the lyrics to the icy, detached nature of the vocals, classic Gothic rock, dark wave and dark electro are fused together to deliver a song that feels born of the night. However, it demands to be listened to at all hours, thanks to a hook-filled melody and a sombre yet catchy chorus. Perfect for fans of Lebanon Hanover and Clan of Xymox.

They say about the song is about, “Our love for the night. Our strong bond with the darkness, both outside and within ourselves”.
