Introducing: Bad Flamingo
The Johnny Cash meets Lana Del Rey outlaw country loving duo Bad Flamingo are a bit of a mystery. Always wearing masks and divulging little about themselves on social media, or even in their music. After this interview, you might know little more about them, but they sure do leave a lot to the reader’s imagination, which is kinda cool when you think about it.
First up, could you tell us a bit about the Bad Flamingo?
We face the door when we sit and lean when we stand. We wander from place that has gotten too hot to desert place that will get too hot.

That which is in the shaded corner.
Do you feel the masks have an effect on your music, and how you’re perceived?
We tie the leather laces of the mask —
“Give a man a mask, and he will tell you the truth” — Oscar Wilde
What was the last album or song you listened to?
the cicadas in the magnolia by the window that’s rotting

Could you tell us something about your recent single, Comes Easy To Me?
It’s a dusty spin in the dirt. A playin round with a glass slide till it dropped. The shards are still on the vinyl kitchen floor.
Give us a few hints on what’s in store next for Bad Flamingo…
ropes, slides, and slinkies are on the smoggy horizon
+ bongos
