New Music: nazire – junebug

Ahead of the release of her wittily titled glitchfolk album, Istanbul-based nazire has unveiled a new track, junebug.

From a lo-fi, shoegaze-inflected starting point, nazire brings the listener on an occasionally stark sonically, but often lyrically optimistic journey with junebug.

Even as the fleetingly expansive and soothing shoegaze passages break out and hit your consciousness, that blend of euphoria and uncertainty never fades into the background. If you want to hear music that captures much of the ecstasy and confusion of love in its first dazzling moments, junebug will see you right.

“[junebug is] about surrender: the dangerous but exhilarating moment when you finally give in to a love that feels risky but undeniable.” reveals nazire.
