New Music: She Past Away – Disko Anksiyete

Published On: July 12th, 2019|

Disko Anksiyete by Turkish purveyors of sounds cold and dark She Past Away is one of our favourite albums of the year so far, so it’s even more of a treat to find out they’ve dropped a video for the title track. We love it.

Filmed in and around Athens, and featuring live footage from a gig at the city’s Death Disco party, it captures that wonderful duality of the band, vibrant and still, evolving and unchanging, telling a new story that is as old as time.

Whilst the duo takes much inspiration from the early 80s, they always bring a modern sheen to the proceedings production-wise and in terms of melody, making them and their sound a vital counterpoint to safe and predictable commerciality.

Disko Anksiyete is out now on all major digital streaming and downloading platforms including Bandcamp. For news on releases and upcoming gigs, check out She Past Away on Twitter, Facebook, vk, and Instagram.
