New Music: TV FACE – WHITE NOISE WHITE LIES

Lancaster trio TV FACE really bring the noise in a visceral fashion on the raw, riff-heavy tones of WHITE NOISE WHITE LIES from their WOLF RENTS BARK album.

It shows some changes from their 2023 Tide of Men LP, with the melody pushed back to a degree, as the unrestrained anger in the vocals and the crunching fierceness of the arrangement leave no place for the shy to hide.

In its brief quiet moments, the lead and bass guitars echo with the memory of early Bauhaus, but soon, the punkish fervour of Minor Threat and Black Flag reasserts itself, sending the track spiralling headlong into the abyss.

WOLF RENTS BARK is set for release via Crackedankles on the 5th of September. It’s now up for pre-order on CD and on limited-edition 12” pink vinyl on Bandcamp. WHITE NOISE WHITE LIES can be heard on SoundCloud and Spotify.

The band holds a launch party for WOLF RENTS BARK in Lancaster (UK) on the 4th of September, with a gig in Manchester the following month. For album news and details of upcoming gigs, check out TV FACE on Facebook and Instagram.
